And so the season has really ended.  This is the fourth and final part of my 2012-13 retrospective and my third article of the day.  Thank you if you have been reading all of these, there may be one or two more to come.  For the other parts look at;

I’ve no complaints about the choice of best eleven for last season.

Juarez has been added to the overall best eleven starting line-up (replacing Matthews) while Viatri and Vilar get on the bench.  The other awards were;

  • Top Goalscorer: Hooper (19)
  • Highest Average Rating: Charlie Mulgrew (7.41)
  • Fans Player of the Year: Charlie Mulgrew

While both Celtic and Rangers made it to the First Knockout Round (not shown here), it was Chelsea who were victorious.

Lyon, a team swiftly looking like one of Europe’s very best, won the French League.

Despite Shakhtar’s European success it was Dnipro who took the title.

Reputations

The Scottish Premier League gained 14 places this year, up to 16th, and has even increased in reputation from 2.5 to 3 stars!

However Celtic fell to 60th in Europe.  Hopefully this is our inflection point as in the poor European performances of recent seasons will no longer count against our co-efficient.  Click on this link for a bigger picture.

      Thanks. I add a few extra competition as some folks wanted to see what had happened around the Football Manager game world.

      I also hope the SPLs reputation continues to rise. However for this to happen, I need to hope that Rangers and any other SPL club who gets into Europe performs well. Unforuntately I don’t see me being allowed to take them on as Feeders clubs where I could loan them my fringe players though.
